Caring for Those with Dementia
Supporting Those Who Care.

About the Program

Faithful Friends Dementia Care is a respite care program specifically for people living with dementia. Faithful Friends will be located at Real Life Sango church in Clarksville, TN. This program will be two days a week for four hours a day and will provide people living with dementia with a loving, supportive, and engaging environment that they can thrive in and enjoy being involved in. People with dementia deserve quality care that is affordable and by providing an environment centered on socialization and cognitively stimulating activities our goal is to help them thrive and to provide support to their caregivers in anyway they need. Lunch will be provided each day as well as many activities throughout the day. As someone who has worked with patients with dementia for over five years as a Nurse Practitioner I have seen a great need for a program like this that promotes a healthy and fun environment as there is less anxiety, depression, agitation and other behaviors when people with dementia are involved in a socially and cognitively stimulating environment that uses a relationship-based approach to dementia care.
